A Financial Company based in the Johannesburg area is currently looking PHP Developer with extensive Magento experience.

Duties:
• Design and update both design and functional documents.
• Develop extensions and applications in PHP.
• Develop integration from 3rd party systems into the company’ systems.
• Conduct code reviews and design reviews.
• Offer input regarding new web technologies.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, communications, or information sciences.
• 3+ years proven hands on experience in developing in PHP.
• 3+ years’ experience in PHP Development with extending and customizing existing products/frameworks such as Drupal, Magento, WordPress, Joomla or OS Commerce.
• Solid understanding of web technologies, usability, and information architecture.
• NoSQL and database-driven Web applications experience.
• Proven experience of coding in XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, jQuery.
• Understanding of MVC Frameworks such as CakePHP, Zend Framework is preferred.
• Understanding of Yii and test driven development is preferred.
