Job Purpose:

To fit, assemble, fabricate, test and maintain piping and other material, according to Company, Quality and Client specifications.

Key Duties:

• Securing components together by using agreed and accepted Pipe Fitting techniques and practices in workshop.
• Fabrication, Pipe Fitting and Installing of all types of Piping Welding and steel Material.
• Selection of appropriate equipment and plan the layout and assembly of the welding & pipe fitting process.
• Testing of material, Pipe Fitting and fittings by using agreed measurements (Pre and Post Welding and Pipe Fitting)
• Set up Equipment and Pipe Fitting Parts using appropriate Pipe Fitting Equipment.
• Ensure Pipe Fitting completed tasks are in line with the daily acceptable targets.
• Continuous minimizing of Pipe Fitting defects.
• Identify problems (fault finding) and advise on possible appropriate actions to reduce Pipe Fitting defects, and job inaccuracies.
• Observe the functioning of Pipe Fitting, to determine safety hazards and need for adjustments, refitting or replacement.
• Follow the Work Procedure Specification, sequence and parameters thoroughly, as per applicable project/Works Number.

Key Requirements


• 4 – 5 years’ experience as a Pipe Fitter in a related industry.
• Possess a Red Seal Qualification in Boilermaking/Fitting.
• Qualified in the different Pipe fitting techniques/procedures being practiced at the company.
• Good Mechanical/Boilermaking aptitude
• Keen interest in the Welding and Pipe Fitting Environment.
• Be able to communicate, read and write effectively in the English language.
• Be able to render satisfactorily employment reference from previous projects/employers.
