Pit to Port Development and Financing Consultant - Infrastructure and Major Projects


Purpose of the Job:

Our Client, a large Corporate Finance Company based in Johannesburg, requires an individual who can contribute to the expansion and growth of their Infrastructure practice in Africa, through project delivery and business development at key clients and markets. The Infrastructure and Major Projects Team has been structured around four areas across the asset life cycle: namely Strategy & Development, Procurement & Financing, Delivery & Construction and Operations & Performance.

The successful candidate will be required to provide strategic, advisory and review services to developers and operators of large Energy and Natural Resources projects in the Strategy & Development and Procurement & Financing area.

Qualifications and experience

The successful candidate MUST have a
• Four year degree qualification and will have professional registration plus a post graduate qualification.
• In addition the successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ of M&A and funding experience.

Key job duties or responsibilities:

The successful candidate will need to:
• Be part of a multidisciplinary team of Energy and Natural Resources project development experts
• Provide strategic, advisory and review services covering all aspects of deal and project funding
• Be able to deal with senior staff in the client organisation as well with project team members
• Provide the client with guidance and support throughout the asset life cycle from strategy development, deal origination, funding and deal closure
• Be familiar with the governance, financial and procurement interfaces between the operations and corporate environments

The candidate will be based in Johannesburg, however the type of projects worked on are located throughout Southern and Sub Saharan Africa and the successful candidate must be prepared to travel and work in these areas.
