VACANCY: PLANNER

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Responsible for overall planning of company
2. Assist project managers
3. Assist with progress measurement
4. Review planning function
5. Provide assistance with legal claims and other departments.
6. Compile and issue front end schedules
7. Establish key issue dates
8. Establish critical paths, freeze project schedules and issue baseline documents.
9. Integrate subcontractor and supplier programme into project network.
10. Establish productivity norms and standards for all disciplines in liaison with cost engineering.
11. Set up control curves
12. Estabish commissioning considerations and ensure that they are catered for in the project schedule during baseline development.
13. Update weekly schedules and per project managers direction
14. Revise schedules when required
15. Measure and report on progress
16. Participate in monthly reports.
17. Prepare look ahead schedules
18. Review planning and progress on all projects monthly
19. Assist setting up procurement plans in accordance with project schedules and manage the procurement plan.
20. Attend supplier kick off meetings give advice on supplier lead times in accordance with the project schedules.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Trade tested artisan / NQF4 / N4 (with a completed apprenticeship).
2. Exposure to a drawing office environment
3. 5 years planning experience working in a process plant and or water/waste water treatment projects.
4. Planning from first principles
5. Must have construction experience
6. Computer literate with MS Project and Primavera
7. Good organisation skills
