Job Description:
Planning Manager
Our client requires the service of a detail orientated, highly computer literate Planning Manager to develop plans in order to optimise capacities and demand from the business.

Key performance areas:

Master planning schedule
Inbound plan for Imports
Manage space availability /capacity between DC’s to enable implementation of operational plans
Manage DC space in terms of efficiency (space utilisation) and productivity
Manage Planning related aspects pertaining to store openings and closures
Labour planning forecasting models to Operations
In-bound bookings forecasting models to Operations
Manage alignment between of operating cycle
Resolve planning related Branch queries (to be delegated to DC Planning Managers)
Daily extracting plans
Operational work planning, priority setting and scheduling
Operational performance monitoring
People and enabling capacity management / Resourcing
Input into structures & roles
Process improvement, process policies, procedures and performance standards
Managed interfaces
Resolve escalated operational issues

The successful candidate must have:

Matric with a degree or relevant qualification
Proven knowledge and experience of EXCEED system OR other warehouse management systems
Highly computer literate with thorough knowledge of Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hardworking and reliable
Strong attention to detail
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Problem solving skills
High level or numeracy
Must be willing to work shifts
