PLANNING MANAGER – NORTHERN CAPE (Preferably EE)

Our International Client is a leader in the Renewable Energy industry based in Cape Town. They have an opportunity for a PLANNING MANAGER to join their EPC Team in the Northern Cape on a Fix Term Contract of minimum 12 months.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• An engineering qualification (BSc or equivalent), preferably in Industrial Engineering.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Renewable Energy - Solar environment, preferably in a planning or process optimisation role with a strong systems emphasis.
• Strong business acumen and good understanding of project planning systems and processes.
• Prior experience in a business information systems role involving the design, development and implementation of business systems would be advantageous.
• Project management experience - ideally systems implementation projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritising of workload with attention to detail;
• A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning;
• Self-motivated with a willingness to accept responsibility and challenges;
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Duties & Responsibilities
• Improving and sustaining the overall performance of the production planning systems used during the production planning process
• Ensure that integrated planning systems are developed and maintained.
• Ensure integrated planning systems/processes are managed, improved and maintained in accordance with good manufacturing practice.
• Ensure performance management systems are implemented and used to manage the efficiency of plant integrated planning systems.
