Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a specialisation in Health, Safety & Environment
Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in a plant or industrial environment
Established skills in HSE methods: AMDEC, 5 why methodology, job instruction, audits, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18000
International mindset
Relevant expertise according to the technologies of the Division
Minimum bi-lingual (English required)

Job Description:
Advise the program managers on HSE matters and ensure the implementation of recommendations
Ensure the required resources are in place to run an efficient and productive HSE department at the plant (systems, tools and processes)
Elaborate an annual action plan for the Plant, organize the review and audit of the plant
Ensure the follow-up and the consolidation of the monthly reporting of the indicators
Ensure the accident enquiries are achieved properly (time and quality)
Analyse the Plant results and bring a vision in the analysis of the accidents and suggest solutions for improvement
Update and circulate best practices in prevention and protection matters in all the plants of the Division and towards the Business Group
Actively participate in the Plants HSE Network
Guarantee the alignment of all statutory obligations and compliance with national legislation as well as Group HSE Policy
Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment
Propose an annual HSE strategy and plan to Plant Management
Coach, support and train Plant management and employees in HSE matters and compliance
Manage the sites relations with local government and regulatory organizations
Carry out accident enquiries
Experience with contractors in the construction field would be advantageous
Proven experience in Contractor Management
To advise on safety aspects in the design and use of machinery, equipment and systems of work
To access contractors’ health and safety policies and standards prior to approval of their contracts and to monitor their compliance.
Control and monitor all fire- fighting equipment for maintenance and new purchases.
To recommend and acquire approved protective clothing and equipment.
Monitor the effectiveness of all health and safety reps and conduct regular meetings to ensure OHSAct compliance.
Incorporate best practice and proven leading research into health and safety planning.
Plan, implement and co-ordinate strategic and practical safety programmes.
Develop and execute the H & S Plan in line with the Business Plan.
Drive continual improvement and best practice in all key health and safety tasks.
Lead and ensure audit standards are met.
