An Energy Supply giant located in the East of Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Plant Maintenance Planner for the Turbo Gen Services.

Key Performance Areas (KPA’s)

Human Resources

• Attend Turbo Gen Services (TGS) meetings as per schedule of the plant Maintenance and Production Support Managers including key role players
• Ensure that healthy relationship amongst co –workers colleague and customer are created and maintained within the various department
• Comply with policies and procedure of the organization
• Attend all mandatory training as specified by TGS

Financial Management/ Plant Maintenance
• Create purchased requisition for the procurement of all statutory items, spares and equipment’s according to the correct technical specifications as per policy /procedure
• Ensure “Compliance to specifications checks “are performed and signed off before statutory into operations.
• Source supplier and quotations for correct and preventative maintenance in line with procurement Policy as and when required
• Assist with OPEX and CAPEX Budget requirements for all tools, equipment and maintenance related activities for the Turbo Gen Services

Safety Management

• Adhere to safety targets set by Turbo Gen Service
• Monitor and ensure the implementation of safety systems to create a safe working environment
• Attend and participate in daily toolbox talks

Business Management

• Ensure that correct and preventative maintenance for all asserts within the division are done timeously according to best practice
• Plan and \schedule inspections for all plant, equipment and statutory items and continuously monitor the effectiveness thereof
• Carry out impact studies of maintenance verses replacement cost of plant, tools and especially obsolete failure
• Ensure statutory & specified equipment checks are performed to comply with legislation & company requirements
• Maintain master data comprising of over 61 000 equipment
• Plan maintenance and upgrade s of plant and equipment s in accordance with
• The production schedule of work Centre
• Assist plant maintenance Manager with the upgrade, rebuilding and new installation of plant and equipment incorporating the costing, planning, execution and monitoring of project
• Maintain a spares holding system for maintenance philosophies for all plant and equipment
• Investigate and recommend best repairs and maintenance philosophies for all plant equipment
• Assist the plant Manager in achieving target & objectives for Turbo Gen Services

Minimum Qualification Required

• Relevant Engineering qualification i.e. NTC 3 Certificate
• Qualified Artisan with Electrical or Mechanical trade test
• Supervisory qualifications (SDC, etc.) will be an advantage

Minimum Experience Required

• 3 -5 Years’ post trade test experience with heavy machinery, overhead cranes and statutory equipment
• 2-5 years supervisory experience in a maintenance environment
• 2-3 years’ experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (planning and executing)
