Reporting to the Group Executive: Products: The Plant Manager will be responsible for the entire Hartbeespoort Abattoir and maximizing plant throughput at optimal yields and world class quality standards whilst achieving and maintaining budgetary cost targets. The successful candidate must be in possession of Engineering, Food Processing or relevant Tertiary qualification, 15 years manufacturing experience within the FMCG sector, Poultry Processing experience essential, and a sound track record in handling labour intensive workplaces.

RESULTS REQUIRED:
• Developing, defining and implementing good manufacturing practices
• Developing team and managing talent within the abattoir.
• Responsible for achieving process plant targets in line with strategic objectives.
• Manage quality and food safety of products
• Maximize process plant utilization
• Manage operational budget for the abattoir and ensure cost controls are in place and adhered to.
• Industrial Relations
• Ensure high quality and environmental standards are kept (HACCP)
