PLANT MANAGER (UITENHAGE) R Neg.
A B degree (Masters preferred) with proven and successful experience in Production Management and Lean manufacturing/production systems for example Toyota production systems. Proven experience in team management with excellent coaching and leadership skills. Must have the ability to build and manage and deliver a P&L budget with finance knowledge. An articulate communicator who is results orientated. You will report to Division/regional Ops Director with your main role being to manage this Production plant. Set targets for the plant, deliver its budget commitments measured through gross margins and inventory levels. Safety and employee labour relations skills are essential, ensure customer satisfaction, develop talent in the plant to prepare future managers and succession planning, manage P&L and drive the appropriate actions with the management teams, secure new programs launch( ensure plant readiness) and contribute to the overall business plans. Along with your team manage inventory, capex, fixed costs, variable margins, set plant out to maximise efficient use of equipment and labour, drive supplier performance.
