The position calls for one of the following tertiary qualifications as minimum requirement:
B.Sc. Computer Science
B.Sc. Engineering
B.Eng.
B.Com (Informatics)
At least two years relevant working experience Manufacturing
Strong C, C++, C# and .NET programming skills
A working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL, Oracle
Knowledge of systems integration and communication
Knowledge of peripheral devices and communication protocols
Knowledge of the latest process control and automation technologies
General understanding of networks and computer infrastructure
Develop, enhance and optimize Level 2 Automation and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application software, developed using:
Visual C++. Visual C#, Microsoft .NET
Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and AspenTech Infoplus.21
Industry standard technologies on systems integration and communications.
Analyse user requirements and problems, formulate solutions, in order to design and compile functional and technical specifications of solutions.
Develop production and process-focussed solutions using SDLC development standards and methodologies.
Continuously work towards process optimization through the application of innovative ideas and industry best practice.
Continuously drive data integrity
Provide support to the Operational department
Ensure high availability of systems
