Our Client within the Automotive Sector, seek to employ a PLC/ Automation Specialist in the Body Shop on a 12 Month Contract.

Education Qualifications:

• N6/NDip/BTech/BEng in Electrical/Mechatronics required 

Core Related Work Experience

Minimum 5 years Body shop maintenance experience

• Candidates must have strong analytical skills and a high level of Computer Literacy – Networking Protocols and Applications, MS Windows and MS Office

Job Tasks

Must be able to:

• Install and maintain software applications on automation systems
• Program and perform in-depth fault finding on Siemens S7-300 PLC’s including Distributed Safety System (Profisafe)
• Configure and fault find Interbus and Profinet Field Bus Systems
• Program Scada systems and applications (Siemens WinCC and WinCC Flex)
• Fault find Kuka Robotic Systems (KRC2 and KRC4) and understand its integration in PLC Systems
• Set up, commission and fault find SEW Speed Drives (Movidrive, Movifit and
• Movipro) using the SEW MotionStudio software application 
• Do computer hardware upgrades and repairs on Simatic Panel PC’s, HMI’s and Standard Desktop PC’s 
• Provide on-the-job training to Technicians and Artisans
• Implement and maintain working archives/ backups of all automation applications and software
• Read and understand electrical control system drawings – Eplan pdf printouts. In addition to the above, experience on Hirschmann and Scalance networks and network monitoring tools will be advantageous.
