Qualification:

Accounting qualification or similar

Fluent in Portuguese (this will be tested)

Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience



Skills & Experience:

Solid knowledge of international accounting standards

Foreign tax knowledge advantageous

Familiarity with exchange rates and working with several foreign currencies

High computer literacy: excellent Excel & Pastel skills

Good general business sense – Need to have the financial technical skills while keeping a commercial mind and bearing in mind general interest of the company.

Awareness of the need for controls and sound business processes

Flexible: able to adapt to new scenarios and make function evolve in a fast-growing company

Job Description:

The key focus of this position will be the foreign entities but there is plenty of scope to grow within the local entities as well.

The department manages and produces AFS for a total 7 entities.

Full accounting function for foreign entities

Monthly management reports (reporting to Finance Manager) & liaising with foreign accountants & statutory bodies

Audit preparation (local & foreign)

Cash flow management (2 foreign entities)

Payroll administration (2 foreign entities)

Company administration, contract reviews, foreign statutory & legal research (country specific: Angola & Mozambique)

Assist Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks
