Our Client, a successful contact centre situated in Cape Town, wishes to employ a Brazilian Portuguese-speaking Translator/ Content Writer to join Marketing Department in their successful establishment.

Minimum Requirements/ Skills Needed:
· Mother-tongue fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
· Minimum 2 years’ related experience in Translations/Online Marketing/ Customer Service would be preferred
· Exposure and experience in publishing, print and online web content can be an added advantage
· Relevant Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Languages or Communications would be preferred
· An advertising background with an understanding of Search Engines (SEO) and Internet Marketing would be an added benefit
· Understanding of keywords and meta tags
· Expert writing skills, editing and proof reading abilities, with a flair for writing and word play
· Displays an effective writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer friendly
· Ability to write concise, attention-grabbing and hard-hitting material that puts the message across in various styles for multiple audiences
· Ability to work in a team with good communication skills
· Quick idea-generation and an ability to ‘think outside the box’
· Willing to take risks
· Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
· Quick learner and an ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment

Main responsibilities would include:
· Ongoing translations of the Client’s websites, emails, products and marketing-related materials from English to Portuguese
· Periodic proof-reading and reviews of website content to ensure information is kept updated
· Creation of original, Portuguese content for websites and other products as required
· Ensure that all images, content and functions are translated and displayed properly on the Client’s homepage; verify that all banners and other links are working and go to the correct page on the Client’s website
· Organize and upload translated material and finalize translations according to set standards regarding formatting, order, clarity, terminology and use of hyperlinks
· Perform keyword research into relevant markets as required
· Suggest and contribute in terms of marketing-related initiatives, providing suggestions and seeking opportunities
· Reminder Mailers: translation and preparation of reminder mailer content
· SMS’s: language translations of SMS’s received and the sending thereof
· Social media posts, updates, blogs and microsites as directed by the marketing manager
· Maintaining the relevant reports associated with all aspects of the job function
· Occasional Customer Service Support

Management reserves the right to make additions and changes to the Key Responsibility Areas at any time, in line with the operational requirements of the business.

The salary on offer for this position is between R16 000 – R18 000 per month, dependent on your level of experience and qualifications. Medical Aid is also offered by this Client, after passing the probationary period.
