The production manager will be responsible for managing the production operations of Poultry Plant to ensure the achievement of production targets within specified quality, environmental/ safety standards and budget. He will have to ensure production meets the targets and overheads and manning levels are within agreed budgets.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Managing the production team.
2. Ensure the manufacturing process meets defined safety guidelines, quality specifications and OSHA standards, conduct plant inspection to eliminate hazardous conditions by HACCP approach.
3. Adherence to Production plan.
4. Cost Control: Achievement of production budgets, with minimum wastage of raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials.
5. Analyze equipment on daily basis and review with maintenance supervisor and develop a preventive maintenance schedule.
6. Implement & foster a continuous improvement environment, set goals and standards.
7. Adherence to site and business protocols.
8. Consolidate the activities of all production supervisors in order to ensure smooth operation for production and responsible for any emergencies that occur at that Plant.
9. Assist the Plant Manager in preparation of annual budget proposals, providing assessment and estimates of material, and manpower requirements for the production forecasted.
10. Ensure effective utilization of human resources by consistent performance, training and motivation.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor Degree in Poultry Science while Bachelor degree in poultry processing technology will be a plus
• Computer literate.

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5 yrs experience in Poultry processing plant processing minimum 1000 birds per hour or more as Production Manager.
