Looking for a PR Manager for a tour company

Experience in Tourism, and with the US market essential

Qualifications and experience required:
Educated to degree or equivalent level, possibly with an additional business qualification such as an MBA
Foreign language an advantage
Additional experience in Travel & Tourism, Conservation or Sustainability essential
International experience essential
At least 5 years’ experience in the industry of corporate communications preferably within the travel industry
Demonstrable leadership competencies
Familiar with effective ways to reach industry trade press editors, reporters, industry professionals and other influencer relationships through media relations
Experience across media relations, corporate communications, crisis management, public affairs and/or marketing communications
A track record of developing successful working relationships with industry trade press editors
Financially literate and commercially aware

Lead the PR Communications function for USA, Canada, South America & Asia
Be principle geographic contact for media relations including briefing senior management for media activity
Craft and distribute all PR materials including press releases, media alerts and fact sheets
Work closely with Marketing Team
Work with other functions including HR, IT, Legal, Sales, Product to support their communications needs
Respond to media enquiries in a timely manner
Grow new and maintain existing media databases
Effectively communicate brand messages through all channels
Manage an agreed budget for geographic territory; and
Track media coverage and report PR results with recommendations for on-going improvement

Salary: R27 000 CTC
