Established medical aid requires the services of 3 Pre Authorisation Nurses to join their team!
These candidate will be responsible to Deliver cost-effective managed healthcare service to accomplish member satisfaction and to deliver affordable managed healthcare services.

Minimum Requirements:
Afrikaans and English language abilities: speak, read, write
Enrolled Nurse minimum
B Cur degree / Diploma in Nursing will be a bonus
1 year min Medical Scheme – related experience in Hospital Benefit Management
Understanding of the Medical Scheme Rules and Benefit Options.
Understanding of the medical scheme industry
Experience in the medical funding industry
Required Skills/ Knowledge:
Thorough, well-grounded clinical knowledge of Pre Authorization of hospital admissions and Case Management of hospital cases in order to take
cost-effective and appropriate decisions in evaluating treatment, LOS and LOC
Knowledge of the current coding structures in the South African Health Care environment i.e. ICD10’s, CPT4, NRPL, and PMB conditions,
protocols and Scheme rules
Other Skills:
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, Outlook and Internet.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
Strong negotiation skills
Language skills in English and Afrikaans and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work with people and be team player.
Caring attitude and behavior.
Strong sense of self-esteem and confidence
Flexibility in adapting to change and management decisions in order to achieve common goals.
The application of problem-solving techniques
Ability of record keeping and documentation
Prepared to train staff on continual basis
Leadership skills.
Taking responsibility, must have good interpersonal relationship with the staff
