Purpose of Job:
The Pre Sales Planner coordinates technical pre-sales activities. The incumbent transfers industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. Assists in all levels of technical account planning and accompanies sales/account managers on visits to customers. The Pre Sales Planner supports the successful achievement of the companies’ sales targets by analyzing the technical needs and proving the companies ability to deliver the solutions proposed to prospects or existing customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Product presentation/demonstration
• Provide answers to (technical) questions
• Process Request for Information or a Request for Proposal
• Conduct feasibility studies
• Provides support to the sales team
• Provides technical advice to the customers
• Build custom demo’s
• Deliver Proof Of Concepts
• Support customer events
• Build technical relationship with prospects or existing customers
• Provide any technical input needed for proposals
• Be able to position and present the companies product offerings
• Compare the companies product offering with products from other vendors from a technical point of view
• Liaise with the internal departments to ensure accurate and timely resolution of technical issues that may arise during the pre-sales process

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements/Competencies:

• Electrical Engineering Diploma OR;
• CISCO CCNA / CCNP
• GIS will be an added advantage
