Pricing Analyst
Based in Isando
Salary: R20 500 per month plus provident fund and car allowance.

A well-established market leader in the car rental sector based in Isando requires a team player who is action orientated, deadline driven and customer focused. You will be responsible for world-class pricing support to revenue management team. The incumbent must have strong mathematical, statistical and forecasting expertise, a relevant Degree qualification that includes Mathematics and Statistics is essential , an Economics and Management Account Qualification will also be benefit.

The successful candidate must have:
• Matric Qualification
• Tertiary Qualification that includes Mathematics and Statistics
• Economics and Management Account Qualification
• Advanced level of Excel, Minitab and MS SQL
• Intermediate level of Wizard back office literacy
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
In-house Pricing and supplementary rates
• Evaluate current non-contracted default pricing and ensure rate shops in place on a monthly basis
• Recalculate/analyse pricing, vehicle group and product relationships offered to maintain competitiveness and ability to yield
• Evaluate implication and demand for new products and set-up programmes in In-house Rates Loading
• Ensure that default rates are correct and applicable in the Wizard system for all Length of Rentals and seasons
Additional revenue
• Identify additional revenue opportunities for local & weekend segment by liaising with relevant managers
• Conduct analysis on identified opportunities and present to Manager
• Implement proposal upon approval
• Evaluate revenue generated from proposal and make adjustments as required
Special Projects
• Action project plan as per steps identified
• Provide feedback on progress to Manager
• Implement project as per deadline
• Maintain special projects database and record key learning’s
Relationship Building
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with segment managers
Price modelling
• Evaluate current models by car group as required
• Gain pricing information on car models
• Develop pricing model per car model
• Calculate minimum rate per day charge by length of rental
• Document and distribute information to relevant segment managers
Meetings
• Conduct pricing review meeting monthly as per scheduled date
• Attend Redline team meeting monthly
Knowledge
• Comprehensive Mathematical and Statistical expertise
• Thorough understanding of rate structures, rate code functionality and rental counter function
• Thorough understanding to the rates Database Department function
• Thorough understanding of the contribution model
• Understanding of Project Management
Skills
• Advanced level of Excel, Minitab and MS SQL
• Intermediate level of Wizard back office literacy
• Use contribution model to determine contribution for different variables
• Able to analyse information, question the norm and make proposals
