Job title: Primary Health Nurse-Northern Cape

Reports to: Contract Manager

Location: Postmansburg

Job Purpose: The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of a quality Primary Healthcare and Trauma Unit, which is effective and efficient, and meets and exceeds the customer’s expectation and requirements

Qualification & Experience:
Matric/Grade 12
Driver’s license & Own transport is Essential
Trauma Unit experience
Registered Nurse with Primary Health Diploma
The Primary Health Nurse will be a nurse in possession of a registration with the SANC.
Emotionally and spiritually mature and ability to take initiative
3 years working experience will be an advantage.
Flexibility and the willingness to work overtime at times

Duties and Responsibility
Co-ordination of an effective wellness programme on the mining sites
Active involvement in the Client Audit programme e.g. SABS
Provide and co-ordinate input for the development of a client specific Primary Health programme, as part of a wellness team with the client.
dentify and evaluate the client’s Primary Health needs, providing input, advice and drive implementation of new initiatives.
Co-ordination and monitoring of requirements and integration of the programmes Occupational Health, HIV/AIDS, Safety, Human Resources, Primary Health and Wellness
Liaison with site management and individual clinic staff on the implementation and facilitation of Primary programme
Evaluation of the Primary Health and Trauma Unit programme and timeous feedback
Facilitate awareness and education on the mine site
Ensure and conduct on going VCT counselling and testing and referral to the local service providers,
To ensure a focus on customer satisfaction and customer orientation
Carry out any other needs as may be required by the client/ legislation from time to time
