PRINT MANAGER
We currently have the above position available at our flexible packaging facility and wish to invite all suitably qualified applicants to submit their details for our consideration.
The incumbent, reporting to the Factory Manager, will be responsible, but not limited, to the following key functions:
o Manage all technical aspects of Mounting and Printing
o Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
o Provide training and manage performance of Printers
o Ordering of all consumables for the Printing department
o Plan maintenance on all Printing presses
o Track production and quality, analysing both production, quality control and complete relevant operational reports
o Direct and coordinate the production control process
o Maintain and Improve efficiency levels
o Conduct practical training of trainees and identify training needs of all production staff, as and when required
o Ensure HACCP standards are maintained
o Implement disciplines to minimise spoilages on jobs due to poor work performance
o Liaise with day/night shift regarding production schedules
o Ensure health and safety rules are adhered to
o Practical Training of Trainees
o Oversee, manage and control staff related issues
Experience and skills required:
o Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification
o 3-5 Years minimum experience in a similar Supervisor/Manager role, preferably within a production or flexible packaging environment
o Knowledge and understanding of mounting and printing manufacturing process
o Knowledge of Production Management System
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
o Attention to detail
o Good written and verbal communication skills
o Good problem-solving, planning and organising skills
o Good numeracy and literacy acumen
o Exposure and knowledge of PRISM will be to your distinct advantage.
