Introduction
To manage, personally oversee, grow and administrate a portfolio of High Net Worth clients in line with minimum operating standards and servicing and growth strategies.
Minimum Requirements
The Suitable Incumbent Should:
• Be FAIS Compliant and have passed RE1
• Have minimum of 5 years personal lines underwriting and client servicing experience
• Have dealt with High Net Worth individuals previously
• Have a good understanding of all aspects of personal insurance
• Be articulate and have good communication skills, written and spoken in order to commit to excellent client service
• Have strong computer skills on Windows based applications
• Have ability to reconcile account queries
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, have composure when dealing with demanding clients and have unquestionable integrity
• A high work ethic and must have the ability to work under pressure
• Be a team player, have the ability to build good relationships, support and actively participate in and contribute to any team initiative
• A valid code 08 drivers licence, free of endorsement, and have own vehicle


Job Specification
Key Resposibilities:
• Know and understand the needs of the "high net worth" individual in respect of short-term insurance
• Be pro-active, take responsibility and ownership of tasks and problems
• Prepare annual and monthly renewals
• Raise debit notes
• Set up appointments to visit clients
• Provide professional and correct advice explaining cover, exclusions, terms and conditions and ensuring clients are advised of any underwriting requirements in terms of the policy
• Generate referrals from clients through great service, excellent advice and knowledge of insurance
• Liaise and develop relationships with fellow Account Managers and other key role players in the High Net worth environment
• Maximise opportunity at all times to cross/up sell to client in respect of all covers
• Negotiate cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients
• Arrange Qantam valuations and review sums insured on receipt
• Process all policy documentation on in-house computer system including the loading of new policies and endorsements. Emailing and faxing of all confirmations
• Retention of business
• Meet the minimum service visits as laid down by the Division
• Ensure that the allocated portfolio runs profitably by adhering strictly to the underwriting criteria
• Have a "keep, get & grow" mentality with regards allocated portfolio
• Be accountable for premium collection within the prescribed period
• Handle clients accounting queries and process refund requisitions
• Claims liaison with claims division including assisting clients with first notice of loss
• Attend meetings and go on prescribed courses
• Maintain email calendar
• General administrative duties which also include lunch time duties and assisting when other staff members are absent due to sickness or are on leave
• Generate own correspondence
• Adhere to the minimum Quality and Service Standards as laid down by the Division
• Keep up with market trends within the insurance industry and be aware of competitors products
