Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to design and standardisation in the implementation of control systems across all production sites
Provide support and expert input into electrical and control system engineering standards in the field of automation and electrical engineering for production processes that are aligned to the NPD process
Provide support on electrical and control system engineering (in conjunction with project engineering) to enable project management to compile a high level Business Investigation Report (BIR) for products/projects that is aligned with the guidelines/strategies and timings of the NPD process
Deliver detail electrical and control system engineering input (in conjunction with project engineering) to enable Project Management to compile the Final Business Case (FBC) for products/projects that progressed beyond BIR level
Provide electrical and control system engineering execution/support services for projects in the execution phase of development. The level of involvement is to be determined by the demands of the particular project and will be under the discretion of Project Engineering
Provide electrical and control systems engineering backup and support services to internal clients (such as Production/Distribution/Procurement)

Requirements:
B.Eng or B.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Must be able to travel extensively and for long periods at a time.
Extensive working experience in a commercial-scale manufacturing environment where food production both solid and liquid, is a core component.
A very strong track record of experience with control system design, capital project management and control system optimisation in a food environment.
