Business Process Mapping Specialist (Financial Services)

We are actively recruiting for a seasoned Process Mapping Specialist with at least 5 years of professional experience within the Banking and Financial Services Space.

This is a short term contract, to start immediately.

You will be responsible for documenting process and technology changes in an organization and expertly advising and guiding teams during identification, prioritization, analysis, and resolution of challenges adversely affecting operating performance for our financial services clients.

You will add value by applying your understanding of the client’s business, financial analysis, process improvement, and information technology. Success is achieved by helping financial services clients create innovative solutions that maximize operating performance, including the deployment and configuration of integrated front and back-office solutions. You will continuously enhance interactions between end users, sponsors, and internal team members by actively facilitating communication, assisting with project management, including PMO reporting and status activities.


Candidates are required to have the following Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance
• 4-5 years’ work experience including some of the following industry experience preferred:
o Financial Markets: working within Front Office in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Trust/Custody, Financial Advisor Desktop areas
o Middle/Back office in regional or larger bank or broker dealer
o Asset Management experience in Operations or IT
• Experience in managing and improving performance of one or more of Financial Services operational activities including client servicing, trading, securities processing, corporate actions processing, client reporting, shareholder recordkeeping or other core business process project
• Experience in consulting or professional services project work
• Self-starter & team player


Preferred/ Optional:
o Business process experience including some or all of the following: Investment Management and Trade Operations, Derivatives Processing, Securities and Fund Accounting and Reporting
o Experience in financial products including Equities; Fixed Income; Mortgaged Backed Securities, and Foreign Exchange
• Experience in Consulting or Business Analysis on medium to large scale systems implementations, process reengineering, or other project-oriented work


You will:
• Be self motivated and articulate (both written and verbal)
• Be a team player willing to support other team members when required
• Have appropriate levels of personal computer proficiency
