Position: Process Safety Specialist

Type: Permanent

Location: Midrand (Johannesburg) – Travelling throughout SA

Requirements:

Grade 12
Tertiary Qualification (NQF 7-9) in a Technical Engineering Field
Formal Qualification in Occupational Safety Legislation and related SANS codes in desirable
A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in an EHS (or Process Safety related) position – desirable
Previous exposure in Process Safety Risk Management will be advantageous
Willingness to become a specialist in Process Safety topics and to gather information and process it independently
Capacity to read, understand, and implement technical documents and legal requirements (e.g.: SANS code)
Capacity to compile reports in written and professional form
Knowledge of relevant SANS codes (e.g.: 10234, 1461, 10228), Occupational Health and Safety Act – Desirable
Good communication skills to align with customers, external service providers, experts and relevant functions
Excellent training and presentation skills
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Willingness and ability to travel
