A vacancy exists within the company for the following position:

Position: Procurement Accountant
Department: Finance
Line Manager: Cost Accountant
Starting Date: 01 August 2016

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Purpose of position:
To perform administrative duties with regards to supplier orders and sales orders. It will be required to be sufficient in computer skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal as well as external clients.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Supplier Purchase Orders
• Check correct and complete documentation received for orders for listed products
• Prepare supplier purchase order for authorisation
• Submit purchase order to supplier within 24 hours of order receipt in orders box
• Hand over hardware orders to logistics for tracking
• Check all software contracts received are correct and send to relevant person
• GRV and GIV all pure renewal incidents
• Send all documentation to Invoicing Accountant for invoicing
• Daily check of pending file/incidents to ensure all PO’s are received

General
• Assist with month end overflow when required.
• Back up for Orders Control Networking role
• Assist the Cost Accountant with tasks and reasonable request as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience: • Grade 12
• Bookkeeping / Finance Diploma / Degree
• 2 years purchasing/procurement/costing experience
• 1 – 2 years inventory management system experience
• 1 – 2 years’ experience with processing purchase orders
Technical Competencies: • MS Office Suite (Intermediate – essential)
• PASTEL Evolution
