Established Fruit Exporting concern in Paarl is seeking to employ a Procurement and Logistics Manager with knowledge of Citrus and relevant experience to join their team.

The purpose of this role is to procure,plan and co-ordinate the international shipment of citrus.

Duties:

• Sourcing of stock (Citrus) from suppliers in order provide the clients with correct quantities
• Ensure fruits are harvested, packed and transported correctly and effectively within specified budget.
• Monitoring stock and logistics.
• Monitoring of shipping schedules and booking space on vessels.
• Booking of containers and sending specifications through to the packhouses
• Monitoring of shipments and communicating ETA to clients
• Prepare all the documentation and invoices for clients
• Distributing docking reports to suppliers
• Quality Control at destination and informing suppliers of any quality issues
• Negoting payment terms and ensuring clients pay in a timeous manner.

Requirements:

• Relevant B Degree advantageous
• Experience in the fruit industry and knowledge of citrus essential
• Min 5+ year experience in a similar role
• Excellent Customer Service and Negotiation Skills
