Functions/Responsibilities:
• To manage stock portfolio in terms of replenishment
• Ensure that sales opportunities & profits are maximised for each Rand invested in inventory
• Maintain optimum stock levels
• Achieve required margin percentage
• Monitor, analyse & recommend corrective action on margin
• Maintain and build supplier relationships
• Evaluate and give feedback on supplier performance
• Analyse, identify opportunities/concerns & provide timely recommendations & feedback to relevant role players
• Compile and distribute month end reports
• Input information onto the system and place orders
• Attend training and product launches
• Regularly review range by monitoring product performance to identify fast/slow/dead stock
• Conduct quarterly range reviews with suppliers to agree on discontinued lines & new listings
• Ensure that BEE supplier spend is met at all times
• Respond to customer complaints with empathy and ensure the issue is resolved accurately in the shortest possible time. Escalate complex complaints to management
• Help reduce shrinkage
• Develop procurement strategies

Requirements
• Grade 12 with Mathematics
• A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain/Procurement Management/Purchasing/Logistics
• 3-5 years of retail/FMCG stock or warehousing management experience (specific exposure to buying/planning/inventory) is essential
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel (intermediate-master level) and outlook
• SAP + B1 proficiency
• Proven analytical ability
• Proven ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations
• Proven ability to decide and initiate action
• Proven track record in achieving personal work goals and objectives
• Proven ability to persuade and influence
• Proven ability to apply expertise and technology
• Planning and organising skills
• Ability to work under pressure with constant accuracy
• Team player
