Our client a leader in the hydraulics/pneumatics industry seeks a Procurement Clerk to join their dynamic and motivated procurement team.

Minimum requirements:
* Minimum 2 years experience as a Procurement Clerk or in a support role in teh Procurement/Purchasing department
* Minimum 2 years experience in Systems implementation either leading or participating
* Diploma in Purchasing and Supply
* Must be attuned or come from industrial engineering industry
* Syspro and Tempo experience an advantage

Responsibilities:
* Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies and itnerview them to determine product availability and terms of sales
* Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
* Participate in the develpment of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials
* Analyse market and delivery systems to assess presetn and future material availability
* Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
* Preparte purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments orginating request
* Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary
* Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations
* Perform ad-hoc buying duties when necessary
* Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries and other problems
* Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology and specifications
* Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price lists
* Compare prices, specifications and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers
* Creating maintaining of stock codes and pricing on Syspro Master Fiel
* Report on Supplier performance
