Our automotive distributor client is looking to employ and EE Procurement Manager for their business.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Identifying and implementing areas of improvement related to category and supplier strategies that leverage COMPANY spend and deliver
significant economic benefits.
• Draft and implement a proper procurement policy
• Develops and implements strategies for procuring
• The development, control, reporting and measurement of compliance to procurement policies, processes and procedures.
• Establish and manage a centralized vendor on-boarding process.
• Defining new procurement processes that are efficient and effective.
• In conjunction with the COMPANY’S Legal Department, implement contracts and negotiate favourable contractual trading terms and
conditions to meet business requirements.
• Oversee all contracts and SLA’s entered into by Importer and 44 dealerships nationwide
• Maintain database of all contracts and SLA’s with suppliers
• Review all SLA’s and contracts to ensure that the company is not at risk
• Advise business of optimal payment terms
• Identifies and researches potential new suppliers that comply with company standards
• Researches new products and services to meet company's goals
• Assesses total costs of company purchases and initiate cost saving initiatives
• Evaluating New and Existing Suppliers
• Continuously improving external supplier quality, service, innovation, delivery and costs.
• The procurement manager must evaluate prospective suppliers before signing them up to ensure they meet the organization’s needs.
• The aim is to sign up a supplier who can deliver goods and services in the agreed quantities, in a timely manner, whilst observing quality
measures.
• The suppliers must comply with our BBBEE expectations
• Although the procurement manager will not be able to dictate the use of specific suppliers, they will have to provide recommendations based
on pricing and customer service
• The procurement manager must ensure that suppliers pricing is reviewed on a regular basis and provide details to GM’s of suppliers who are
not market related
• Manage database of current supplier and ensure that all details of suppliers are updated, including BBBEE information
• The procurement manager is also responsible for maintaining and reviewing all records of contracts and SLA’s entered into longer than
month-to-month.
• Maintain and update data such as information about suppliers’ products and prices and BBBEE status
• Strong organizational skills required to find the right data in a timely manner, as well as an eye for detail to ensure that the data pulled
includes the correct information.
• Business analytics of all spend within the COMPANY so as to enable better decision making.
• Analyse current suppliers listing and provide business with accurate cost per product / service per supplier information
• To support the business through risk reduction, value extraction and cost saving initiatives.
• Identifying risks inherent in procurement and escalating these to the appropriate senior level within the Business.
• Supporting budget process.
• Ensuring that resources from both the Divisions and Group Procurement are coordinated to drive maximum value from the supplier base and
that the suppliers are appropriately managed.
• Lead operational management of external suppliers in terms of B-BBEE, service, quality, cost and delivery in line with agreed Contract and

Service Level Agreement.
• Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
• The purpose of the procurement manager is to provide relevant and accurate information on a timely manner to business
• This information should be used mainly to support business in selecting preferred suppliers to improve the company’s overall BBBEE score
and to ensure cost reduction
• Support and facilitate local, regional, and national business requirements.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum BCom degree or equivalent in Procurement
• Minimum 4 - 6 years in Procurement Management at Senior Management level
• Must know and be familiar with the relevant legislation/s
• Must come from a corporate/industrial/commercial/finance environment
• MS Office, Email, Word, PowerPoint and Excel at progressive level
• Knowledge of BBBEE revised codes
