Position: Product Designer (UX Designer)
Area: Bellville in Cape Town (Western Cape)
Salary: R15k-R25k p/m depending on experience, skills and qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:
• A recognised qualification in UX Design or Information Architecture or Bachelor's degree with a focus on design or equivalent industry experience
• +- 3 years user interface design experience for web-based solutions
• Strong experience in application user interface design and interactive application design
• Experience in infrastructure monitoring, networking or information technology solutions
• Experience designing wireframes
• Previous UI Designer experience at an interactive agency highly desirable, though not essential
Skills and Competencies:
• Expert knowledge of creative tools
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Excellent visual (sketches, wireframes, screen mock-ups, flow diagrams, etc.), verbal, written and presentation skills
• Superior knowledge of user experience principles, graphic design standards, design trends, and techniques for web and mobile software products
• Ability to translate verbal ideas into concepts and designs that demonstrate the user experience
• Comfortable quickly adapting to dynamic timelines and requirement changes
Key Outputs:
• Delivering interaction design sketches, wireframes, and prototypes that follow established design patterns, theory, and primary research for the company’s in-house developed product portfolio
• Use your UI expertise and best practices to create visual, interactive prototypes and screens that will be used to explain user experiences and application flows to the developers and project stakeholders
• Ensure company’s in-house developed products have a consistent, User-intuitive, look and feel ensuring platform specific best practices are adhere to
• Create and maintain guidelines for visual assets
• Working with target users in usability tests and contextual research
• Performing expert evaluations of interactive products
• Getting involved in product discovery work – workshops, personas, canvasses, journey maps
