RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES OF THIS POSITION:Updating and maintaining:Preferred supplier lists.Preferred partner sheets.Image library.Perfect moment sheets.Partner offers sheets.Nightly, transport and activity rate sheets.Support documentation. Collating and sending of internal Product Updates.Quoting, checking and amending packages and safari offers.Rate checking & filing as required.Tour Plan reporting on rate amendments and notification to consultants.Attending travel workshops and functions.Hosting and setting up round robin presentations.Research new product and exciting experiences.Requesting services for agent, staff and business travel.Product and destination support to consultants and sales team.Support to Contracting Manager when traveling. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Good knowledge of at least 4 of the destinations (one being South Africa) that the company promotes and a base knowledge of the others –South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya.In-depth knowledge of South Africa is advantageous.Understanding of rates and commission structures.A working knowledge of Tourplan.Computer literacy –MS Word + Outlook a must - other advantageous. SKILLS REQUIRED:Numbers, numbers and getting it right the first time.Attention to detail.Strong administrative skills.Curios, enquiring, eager.Ability to handle pressure.Creativity. PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Three years’ experience gained in the product/reservations team of a tour operator.This person should be proactive, have attention to detail and the ability to cope with pressure.This, coupled with loving the routine and administrative tasks of this job will make you a winner.
