The purpose of this position is to assist in the development of a product for the Fresh Food division by creating a product through the following process: the development of a recipe, conducting factory trials, draw-up specifications and costing of the product, packaging the product, negotiate costing with buyers and then launch the product

Essential requirements :

Qualification at a Culinary School or Level 3 Diploma in Professional Patisserie and Confectionery or B-Tech Consumer Science
2-3 years experience in Product Development
2-3 years experience within the food industry
2-3 years experience dessert product development
6 months Quality Assurance knowledge
6 months Knowledge of R.146 Food Stuffs and Cosmetic Act
3-4 years Food Knowledge
Computer literate – MS Office Suite
