Our Client within Chemicals seeks a suitably qualified and experienced person to fulfil the role of Product Development Chemist in the Paints and Coatings Umbogintwini, Durban.

Responsibilities:

• Attend to all lab work, raw material evaluations/testing,
• Investigate and complete research requests.
• Product development and promotion.
• Development of new products and contribution of new ideas/observations.
• Resolve customer complaints.
• Customer visits.
• Procurement of raw materials and packaging.
• Stock transfers in the system.
• Inventory management.
• Document management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or degree in organic chemistry.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience.
• Preferably in surfactants and polymers.
