Main purpose: Leading and motivating the Product Engineering department in order to deliver on time, in budget and quality engineering solutions. Ensuring execution of programs and optimize engineering direction to meet manufacturing, engineering and customer objectives.
Key responsibility areas would include:
•Follow-up the implementation of procedures and work instructions
•Define the new procedures for Product Engineering
•Participate to cost reduction programs (CTO-Cost Technical Optimization)
•Coordinate the activities associated with the new FRQ
•Assure activities standardization in line with Company procedures
•Identify the training needs for product engineers
•Able to determine the optimal personnel for the manufacturing program, bearing in mind the importance of uniformity criteria and their application
•Responsible for detecting, launching and developing tools, means and / or systems, processes aiming at the optimization and improvement of activities, as well as sharing them with any other Plant through the “Best Practices” System.
•Summarize monthly project situation as well as parameters and the improvement plans.
•Responsible for keeping up the company’s norms in the responsible area, as well as for establishing and up-dating new internal norms in the department.
•Hierarchically and functionally reports to the Engineering Manager
•Supervise the accuracy of the BOM, cutting files, Standard times
•Participate with multi-functional team to analyze / update of the FMEA documents.
•Implement 5S standards in all activities associated with Product Engineering problem solving
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•Engineering Degree Mechanical/Electrical
RELATED EXPERIENCE
•At least 5 Years in an automotive manufacturing facility. Previous working experience in harness industry would be advantageous.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
•PC Skills (Excel intermediate/advance, PowerPoint & Word)
•Presentation Skills
