Leading Production troubleshooting and problem solving for several diverse refining processes including but not limited to: FCC, HF Alkylation, Isomerisation, Visbreaking, Crude distillation, Hydrodesulphurising, Platforming, PSA, Solvents, Claus Sulphur Recovery, Amine LPG treatment.

Resposibilties:

Training and Developing of production staff in troubleshooting and problem solving based on process principles and factual performance, integrated with Apollo RCA and Tripod investigation methodologies.
Participation in identification and realisation of production optimisation opportunities.
Participating in initiatives to increase production performance on several areas like reliability, operating cost, yield optimisation etc.
Coordinating the implementation of ISO9000 quality principles in the production environment and integrating it into normal management processes.
Actively promote and contribute towards cross functional, holistic approach in the leadership, management and execution of sub-business processes.
Leading specific initiatives of system improvement in production e.g. efficiency based scope of work definition for shutdowns, hand held terminal project to capture improved field data gathering by operations and maintenance personnel, Corrosion management.
Participation in Risk and Reliability Maintenance (RRM) initiatives like Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Instrument Protective Functions (IPF) and Shell Risk Centred Maintenance (SRCM).
Acting as plant manager as required – this job is an important launching platform for production management
Requirements:

Graduate with a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering Science or equivalent
5+ years in the oil or petrochemical industry of which at least 3 years in maintenance/technology/operations environment/process design.
Experience in different disciplines is an advantage.
