An exciting new position has opened up in AWM for a Product Manager to manage the Exudate
Portfolio and to ensure the profitable marketing of the portfolio. This will be achieved through
the attainment of short term agreed sales and profit targets, as well as devising and
implementing marketing strategies that will ensure the short, medium and long term
profitability of the products within the portfolio.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

• Matric
• Clinical Education is a must
• Tertiary Degree preferably in Marketing
• Preferably an IMM

EXPERIENCE

• Medical supply/pharmaceutical company background,
• Proven and demonstrable product management experience
• Some Sales Exposure


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building and maintaining the following Key Contacts in his/her department:
o Nursing Sisters with interest in wound care
o Wound Care clinic personnel
o Doctors with an influence in products marketed/sold by our company
o Regional and National Key Opinion Leaders.
o Tender authorities to drive the Commodity & CHC line of products
• The formulation and implementation of short, medium and long term strategic plans for brands relating to:
o positioning in the market
o new product usage applications
o new market opportunities
o competitive yet profitable pricing
o successful promotion against competition.
• Preparing and co-ordinating the training of new staff and existing staff in product knowledge relating to those brands under the manager’s
control, as well as competitive products.
• Providing input into annual sales budget process.
• Checking and monitoring, on an ongoing basis, the compilation of budgeted SFCs.
• Controlling and managing stock.
• You will need to be able to:
o Possess Financial Management Skills such as understand and delivering on the P&L; ROI; Profit Margins.
o Be Computer Literate: MS Word; Excel; Power Point
