PRODUCT MANAGER – DEVICES
MIDRAND | SALARY R25 000 – R30 000 | URGENT POSITION | START ASAP

Our client is a prominent distributor of ICT equipment, products and services to the African continent within the IT industry They are looking for a Product Manager responsible for Devices. The portfolio includes Desktops, All-in-Ones, Notebooks and Tablets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand the technical details of Mobile Devices (Tablets & Mobile Phones)
• Have an excellent understanding of device functionality, operating systems and applications
• Understand the price points and competitive (market position)
• Together with the GM, help to define the Mobile Device range roadmap
• Promote the brand Mobile Device range internally (to sales) and externally (to customers)
• Map a customer’s mobility business needs into the product Mobile Device range
• Support sales by helping to prepare quotes and proposals for new and existing customers
• Build and retain relationships with the original device manufacturers of the device range
• Administer and run proof of concepts for customers
• Provide device training to internal and external customers
• Manage all daily, weekly and monthly operational responsibilities linked to Mobile Device range

REQUIREMENTS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Required: Matric certificate with mathematics
• Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Information Technology will be an advantage
• Thorough knowledge of prevailing and emerging mobile trends and technologies
• Minimum 3 years working experience in IT industry of which at least 18 months working in a brand role on mobility products (tablets or phones) is essential
• Own transport and valid driver's license
• Solution oriented, highly-motivated and proactive self-starter
• Macro-to-micro versatility: strategic mindset coupled with a keen attention to detail
• Well-rounded interpersonal skills, and experience interacting with diverse personalities
• Target driven coupled with the determination to succeed
• Good communication and presentation skills
