Specific Outcomes
Product Optimisation
Acquire product line formulations requested by the business from PLI R&T or additive suppliers
Achieve COGS reduction to meet business objectives and targets and ensure competitive alignment with external market
Product Development
Support product development through collaboration with PLI R&T on understanding customer base needs in order to create and maintain sustainable Lubricants business and to ensure alignment with market changes and to meet global technological advances and requirements
Product Life Cycle Management
Monitor product performance, profitability and usage and manage through the PLI PLCM process
Database Maintenance
Maintain Lubricants Technical Database through development, implementation and availability of proper and relevant systems and measures to ensure reporting and information access to customers and Lubricants Business
Product Training
Undertake specific product training to staff and external customers on global lubricants business trends and new product introductions
Education & Experience
Minimum Qualification, Accreditation & Experience:
NQF level 7 (Degree in Science, Engineering or related degree)
8 years in O&G, Chemicals or other related industries with 3 years Product Development
or Formulation experience or similar within Lubricants, Chemicals, Fuels or related industries
Advantageous Qualification, Accreditation & Experience:
Chemistry or mechanical qualification
5 years in a lubricants environment
