Our client provides chemical products to a diverse range of industries. Construction and Refractory provide chemicals in the building industry. Consumer Specialities supplies a range of speciality and commodity raw materials into the Personal Care, Homecare, Pharmaceutical and Industrial markets. Industrial and Mining manufactures and supplies PVC heat stabilisers, High Performance Lubricants, Industrial Degreasers and an extensive range of chemicals for industrial applications. Paper and Leather supply chemicals to the pulp, paper and leather industries. Timber and Foundry Board supplies resins and associated products to the foundry industry.

Qualifications / Experience:
• Matric.
• BSc in a Life Science discipline. (Zoology, Microbiology, Botany, Biochemistry etc)
• Product Management experience compulsory (raw materials).
• Sales experience within the Personal Care and Homecare industries will be benefit.
• Raw material purchasing experience compulsory.
• Strong price negotiation skills.
• Must have sound understanding of pricing structures.
• Must currently be in chemical industry and calling on customers.
• Must be energetic and attention to detail is important.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects.
• Must have a positive attitude.

Duties / Responsibilities:
• Managing a portfolio of specialty and commodity raw materials strategically into Personal Care, Homecare and Pharmaceutical industries.
• Managing a portfolio of Key Account customers.
• Managing a portfolio of Technology Partners.
• Price negotiations at senior levels at customers and suppliers.
• Joint calling with sales team.
• Promotion of company products and image.
• Key account management.
• New business development.
• Technical presentations at customers on new product launches.
• Industry/market knowledge within the Personal Care and Homecare markets.
• Growing customer base year on year in terms of volume, revenue and margins.
• Attending conferences as needed within the Personal Care industry.
• Strategically adding raw materials to the existing product portfolio.
• Responsible for forecasting and purchasing of raw materials on a monthly basis.
