A leading payment technology company that provides innovative end-to-end payment products to retailers, general businesses and financial institutions across South Africa seeks a Product Manager.  
They are building the next generation of payment products to simplify payment acceptance and delight customers. They  are looking for a rock star product manager to guide their products from conceptualisation through to delivery, ensuring products are analysed, positioned and packaged to meet each target market segment’s needs.
 
Ideal candidates will understand the needs of businesses, their customers and can simplify complex solutions into an exceptional customer experience, while meeting  business objectives.
 
We are seeking people who can think big, communicate, simplify, prioritise, manage trade-offs and execute.
 
Responsibilities

• Manage the product roadmap and timelines
• Drive the ideation of new products and enhancements to existing products
• Integrate usability, research and market analysis into product requirements to improve customer satisfaction
• Develop detailed product requirement documents
• Work closely with analysts to deliver detailed functional and design specs
• Ensure designs are both usable and deliver a great user experience
• Establish shared vision across the team by building consensus on priorities
• Drive product delivery with a team of world-class developers, designers, architects and project managers
• Develop product handover packs for implementation, support and ops teams
• Maintain a strong understanding of the target market, existing competitors and trends
• Have a bias for action – get things done in a constantly evolving environment by filling gaps to get the product out the door and customers on-board

 
Job Requirements

• Bachelors in an analytical field (computer science, business science, engineering)
• Product management or product design experience a plus
• Understand business requirements (SME vs corporate)
• Customer centric thinker
• Understands good design
• Process oriented thinker
• Understands payment services/solutions/ecommerce
• Experience in developing web products and exposure to mobile development a plus
• Ability to work with both technical and creative people
