Position : PRODUCT MANAGER
Business Location : Johannesburg
Reports To : Marketing Executive
Purpose of the Job : To Manage Product categories and to implement marketing initiatives in order to create an efficient and profitable Product range

Minimum Qualifications and Experience : B Com (Marketing and Finance Majors)

5 years experience in a managerial level role
MS Office – Advanced Level
Knowledge of forecasting and planning, budgeting, promotional coordination, product development, pricing, trade marketing.

Job Responsibilities :

Marketing Management:
• Develop and implement the Marketing plan
• Administer legal documentation for the sale of general and specialised assets (Air Conditioners Agents)
• Manage Product pricing parameters

Market Research:
• Manage research projects

Below the Line Promotions:
• Develop creative solutions for promotional material
• Manage brand and product promotions

Product Development and Implementation:
• Participate in the C2C (Concept To Customer) Process for the development of local products
• Participate in Planning Business Teams (PBT) in order to integrate Commercial and Manufacturing processes
• Manage the phasing out of old products and phasing in of new products (Inventory) and communicate new product phasing in to all relevant

stakeholders
• Identify innovation opportunities

Brand Development:
• Identify brand mix elements (Brand differentiation)

Product Launches and Exhibitions:
• Manage Product launches, exhibitions, briefing meetings and functions
• Communicate product Features, Advantages and Benefits (FABS) to customers

Ordering & Stock Management:
• Work with Order to Delivery (OTD) function to ensure stock availability
• Communicate promotions and specials to OTD

Reporting

Profit Plan:
• Develop and monitor the annual sales plan (Revenue, Units, Profit Margin, etc.)

Pricing:
• Develop pricing structures and price lists aligned to Margin requirements
