PRODUCT SPECIALIST /QC – EXPORT TABLE GRAPES
(Contract position)

A leading producer of export table grapes seeks to employ a Product Specialist/QC to coordinate packing operations and product quality specifications as per client instructions.

This is a contract position for the period October 2017 till February 2018.

Requirements:

• Food science or agricultural qualification with knowledge of table grape cultivars
• Excellent knowledge of international markets and related requirements
• At least 5 years export table grape quality control experience
• Willing to travel to Northern Cape

Duties:

• Managing quality control pre- and post-harvest, quality control teams and training
• Provide feedback to producers on arrival quality
• Capture arrival quality on QX
• Be the point of contact for the grower client regarding specifications and technical arrangements.
• Provide support with the implementation of food safety accreditation systems and customer specific standards
