A leading financial services group’s Intermediary Support business seeks an experienced retail and intermediary sales professional to provide product support, guidance and sales assistance within KZN’s distribution business. The Product Specialist will be interacting with the distribution channels – tied agents, broker division and support structures and will require a keen technical understanding of the company’s products in order to educate and assist intermediaries in identifying and pursuing product sales opportunities to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Involvement at regions, branches and consultants’ units to promote Product Development’s existing and new products by inter alia taking care of presentations, comparisons, etc.
• Rendering specialist advice to sales staff in support of the sales of products.
• Supporting operational sales initiatives in consultation with field management to promote sales.
• Functioning as source of information for product development in respect of product adjustments and product packaging of competitors.
• Establishing, managing and supporting local product committees and other initiatives.
• Considering and processing suggestions for products and packages via product development.
• Active support of management of sales volumes of products through positive influencing of sales staff and management.
• Handling of problems, objections and complex enquiries regarding products in the designated sphere of responsibility.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma
• CFP will be an advantage
• 5 years’ experience in Sales Support and/or Product Support
• Good communication skills
• Good presentation skills

• Building and maintaining relationships
