Product Support Representative - Forklift Business - Durban - Ref: 759020-42
Our client is a recognized global leader; a South African distributor of Global Premium Brands (new and used equipment) in the Agriculture, Mineral Processing, Earth Moving and Materials Handling industries offering multiple career advancement opportunities.
They currently have a vacancy for a Product Support Representative in their Forklift division. The purpose of this role will be to grow revenue in the aftermarket department.
The successful incumbent will be a qualified diesel/petrol mechanic and have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. They will be self-motivated and results-orientated.
Job Description
Grow customer turnover.
Target all brands of forklifts.
Identify new service opportunities.
Lead and manage “do-and-charge” team of Technicians.
Manage WIP, NPL and debtors.
Quoting on foreign machines and equipment.
Establish and maintain an up to date database of all forklift users in Durban and greater KZN areas.
Plan daily and weekly customer visits.
Prepare quotes and proposals for customers.
Complete and submit weekly call reports.
Complete quote register and submit weekly.
Meet targets for external parts sales.
Monitor supplier works and costs.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Qualifications
Grade 12
Diesel/petrol mechanic
Experience
3 – 5 years in a similar field.
Selling experience in capital/material handling equipment industry.
Experience in leading and managing staff.
