PRODUCTION AND WORKSHOP MANAGER NEEDED...

To plan, organize and control production in an organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.

• Determine the human resources required
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement, including Safety training, ABET etc.

• Production Processes and Procedures
• Plan, implement and control the production schedule for each job
• Review and adjust the schedule where needed
• Determine the material resources required (stock control)
• Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
• Develop implement and monitor standard operating procedures for production operations
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
• Set and Monitor product quality standards
• Implement, enforce and analyze quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives, detect and correct problems
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process
• Prepare and maintain production reports

• Finance & Capital Expenditure
• Estimate production costs
• Set and manage production budgets
• Implement cost control programs
• Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
• This is a high-stress position based on full responsibility for THE CLIENT operations.
• Handles detailed, technical concepts and problems, balances multiple tasks simultaneously, and makes rapid decisions regarding administrative issues.
• Plans and implements programs.
• Establishes strong and appropriate relationships with Board, staff and clients.
• Develops smooth and constructive relationships with executive colleagues, outside agencies, organizations and individuals.
• Plans and meets deadlines. Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of executive management. Hours may be long and irregular.
