Production Co-ordinator (Manufacturing)

Join a well-established, successful engineering firm in Epping; a wholly owned subsidiary of a multi-national organisation with its’ headquarters in Germany.

This interesting role involves production co-ordination and administrative duties, including productivity reports and procurement responsibilities.

An experienced Administrator with excellent report writing abilities, strong Excel skills and very effective communication and people skills (including negotiation skills), you enjoy an all-round role within a manufacturing environment and have at least 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience.
Salary – dep on experience
Reporting into the MD the successful incumbent will have 2 focus areas:

Purchasing - procurement of consumables (office and manufacturing supplies but not the raw materials).
• create and maintain solid business relationships with existing vendors, to assure constant procurement of supplies.
• Confer with Production Manager to determine the amount and type of materials needed for a project and ensure that they are delivered to the manufacturing unit in a timely fashion.
• Ensure that the quotations suit the budget and the offered materials are of satisfactory quality.
• Ensure that the shipment of materials is received promptly.
• Check shipments to ensure quality and quantity of purchased items
• Monitor all purchase requisitions and handle adjustments with vendors
• Process proof of delivery requests and work with the Finance Dept as required.

Production administration

• Collection of data / records of productivity, daily, from the Floor Manager – translate this data onto spreadsheets for local record keeping and Head Office reports.
• Job tracking and material planning - Monitor and maintain the projects on the white boards and schedule workflow between departments to expedite production of items
• Review master production schedules and work orders to determine order priorities together with the Production Manager
• Tracking of costs – tool room and maintenance job cards.
