• GRADE 12
• BSC/BTECH DIPLOMA WOOD SCIENCE
• MIN 5 YEARS EXP IN MANAGING A PRODUCTION TEAM
• STRONG EXPERIENCE IN BOTH WETMILL AND DRYMILL PRODUCTION
• STRONG SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
• HIGH ENERGY AND FAST LEARNER
• WILLING TO WORK SHIFTS
The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager. The main objective of this position is to manage the department efficiently in order to achieve production targets and budgets.
Key Performance Areas:
• Achievement of set out departmental budgets
• Liaises with engineering team regarding mechanical problems and maintenance schedules, etc.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
• Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with the OHS Act and company policies and procedures
• Continuous identification and taking action of areas of improvement
• Responsible for the day to day management of the department (e.g. team performance, employee relations)
