About the role:

The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes, to ensure goods and services are produced efficiently at the right cost and level of quality and to ensure all aspects of the production department are managed in compliance with internal and external controls, policies and regulations.

Duties will include the following:

• Define production objectives, goals and plans to support the Site strategy and objectives
• Review progress against operational plan and implement contingencies where necessary to achieve operational targets in collaboration with the Site Manager
• Ensure that efficient communication processes are maintained for effective collaboration with customers
• Manage production processes and adjust schedules where necessary
• Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programmes for continous process

improvement
• Ensure controls, policies and regulations are adhered to during production and ensure health and safety guidelines are followed
• Responsible for providing input into quartely site report and other reporting requirements
• Responsible for staff resourcing, management and development

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should possess a B-Degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Operations Management or equivalent coupled with minimum of 5-8 years‘ experience in a similar operation or industry
• Project management experience advantageous.
• Strategic thinker, analytic and high degree of attention to detail, procedure and compliance topics
• High degree of computer literacy & especially experience in SAP or similar ERP system
• Well-developed people skills and good proposal/report writing skills
