PRODUCTION MANAGER (WINEMAKER)

The position will report to the Managing Director (South Africa) and take responsibility for the following key performance areas:

? planning and scheduling of production and maintenance processes
? management of production personnel
? liaison with clients, suppliers and internal Research & Development staff
? ensure customer satisfaction
? assist the Managing Director w.r.t. marketing activities
? management of maintenance and administrative processes (e.g. equip-ment, SAWIS, HACCP, quotations, etc.)
? assist with product development (e.g. non-alcoholic wines)

Requirements for the ideal candidate:

? tertiary qualification (degree / diploma) in Oenology
? 3-5 years wine making experience in a bulk wine cellar
? high level of interest and aptitude for hands-on problem solving and managing others
? above average mechanical and technical skills
? ability to work independently
? very good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
? strong work ethics
? creative and entrepreneurial mindset
